About Recommended APKs

One Android app recommended per need, the way you would recommend something to a friend rather than list every option there is.

Why one recommendation beats ten options

A list of twenty similar apps just moves the decision back onto you. Recommended APKs makes the decision first: one app per need, the one worth telling a friend about, with the reason written out instead of buried in a comparison table.

Why the obvious pick sometimes loses

The most downloaded app in a category is not automatically the recommendation. It has to be genuine, still maintained, and better for most people than the name everyone already knows, or it does not get picked.

The pick is already made

Every recommendation here is written out ahead of time as a plain page, so it is ready to read and act on the moment you open it, on any connection.

Got a better recommendation?

If you use an app you would recommend over what is listed here, say so through the contact form. A good argument can change the pick.

What we will never recommend

A cloned build, a paid app unlocked without permission, or software borrowing a name it did not earn. Those get refused outright, not ranked low.

Who is doing the recommending

Recommended APKs is written by a small group who got tired of being handed a list of ten similar apps and asked to pick one themselves.

A recommendation is reconsidered whenever the app it points to changes, and it is swapped out the moment something else earns the spot instead.

A list gives you options. A recommendation makes a choice and stands behind it.
